Salmon Burger BLTA

I’m a huge lover of BLTs and I really believe avocado goes with everything. Well, maybe not everything, but certainly sandwiches and a lot of salmon dishes. This sandwich combines all my favorites on an English muffin. It is a little messy to eat, but worth every bite. ~Chef Ali
- For Salmon Patties:
- 1 lb salmon burger
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- For Serving:
- 4 strips bacon, cooked to desired doneness
- 1 avocado, sliced
- ½ c ketchup
- 2 Tbsp chipotle paste or chipotle in adobo, minced
- 4 leaves bibb lettuce
- 4 english muffins, toasted
For the Patties
In a food processor, lightly pulse salmon burger with mayonnaise and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Allow mixture to rest for 30 minutes to an hour. Divide burger mixture in 4 even patties. Sear patties in a large skillet over medium heat with olive oil. Cook patties for 2-3 minutes per side until firm and browned.
For the Burgers
Assemble burgers: place lettuce on english muffin, topped with bacon and a salmon patty. Combine ketchup and chipotle in a small bowl and spread atop the salmon patty. Add sliced avocado and top of english muffin.
We enjoyed our burgers with potato chips and a side salad. Sweet potato fries are highly recommended, too.
