At Sitka Salmon Shares, we’re always looking for great fish recipes. This halibut preparation comes from Alaska Cooking Classics: A Treasury of Lodge and Bed and Breakfast Favorite Recipes; a cookbook that compiled recipes from B&Bs across the state. It was once a favorite at Clay’s Quality B&B in Homer. It’s been kitchen-tested and approved!
- 4 halibut fillets
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 teaspoon fresh or dried dill
- ½ cup pecans, chopped
Preheat oven to 450°F. Blend mayonnaise, lemon pepper seasoning, and dill. Spread over fillets. Press pecans on fillets, and bake for 14 minutes for thinner pieces of halibut and up to 20 for a thicker pieces of halibut.
